Spread Propsal

I Victoria will be creating a page for the yearbook with the title “ Galaxy”. This page will include seven images which will reflect the difficulties of a new student coming into an unfamiliar school and dealing with the frustrations of the first few days. I will set up these photos and direct my friends during am lunch and after school to illustrate such events as finding my locker, getting bumped around in the hallways, finding my bus, too many books, making new friends, lunch problems etc. I will use my friends, shapes and web images and will photograph these situations with them and with their consent. I plan to have these images by Tuesday.

Spread October 6th/10

I first made the background I did this by using threshold and I adjusted it till most of the tree was black, I then used the marquee spuare tool to get the like colour and I filled them I repeated this for the white parts too. I used protocols, brightened all the brights and sharpened each one. I then made the first picture bigger then the rest slightly and made the other ones smaller. And then made the bottom picture bigger. I made the background box slightly transparent so the background would could through.

Rule of Thirds October 6th/10

I used the basic protocols to lighten up the picture and I didn't have to bother with colour balance since the picture was in black and white, I then used the unsharp mask to sharpen Maddy's face.

Lead Lines September 22/10

I used layers function to point out lines in this picture. I did this by using the marquee rectangular tool and the elliptical function.

Layers Landscape. September 22/10

I created a layer and played with colour the black, grey, white balance till I thought the sky was more dramatic. I then erased the ground to bring more realism to my picture. I then sharpened the first plant and closest telephone pole. I dodged the left hand top corner to make it brighter and a bit of the left hand top corner and then left hand bottom corner.

Duotone Photo. September 22/10

Edited:

First I changed the grey and white balance then I fixed the color balance of the picture. I sharpened the picture of the moth and then I decided to crop the image to bring more attention to the moth. I dodged some of the moth to lighten him up a bit, then I converted the picture into black and white, and made it into a duotone. I picked a blue-y colour for the duotone.
